Status note: A March announcement said path tracing would ship at launch, but IO Interactive's newer May 27 launch release says Path Tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction are coming in Summer 2026. The later statement is used here.

Does 007 First Light support path tracing?

IO Interactive's latest dated launch statement says Path Tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction will arrive in Summer 2026. An exact enablement date was not available at the time of this update.

Official PC fixes in update 1.0.5

  • Reduced memory use and addressed out-of-memory crashes.
  • Fixed startup crashes related to profile data and corrupted-save startup loops.
  • Fixed a PC checkpoint crash and incorrect low-power-GPU selection.
  • Corrected DLSS upscaling settings and an input-rebinding UI delay.
  • Addressed Epic's persistent saving icon and oversized Microsoft PC updates.

Black screen or startup failure: safe checks

  • Update the game to the latest official patch.
  • Install the latest stable GPU driver and restart Windows.
  • Verify game files before reinstalling the full game.
  • Disable third-party overlays for one test launch.
  • Remove unsupported launch options and return graphics settings to defaults.
  • Contact IO Interactive Player Support if the issue persists.

Official PC requirements

Minimum requirements include Windows 10/11 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-9500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1660 or RX 5700-class graphics, 80 GB available storage, and an SSD. Steam recommends an Intel Core i5-13500 or AMD Ryzen 5 7600 with RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT-class graphics.
